Ifttt Is Your Friend
If you haven’t heard of Ifttt (“If This Then That”) yet, do yourself a favor and check it out as soon as possible. This brilliant service easily ranks among my top 5 (probably top 3) favorite web services.
The service allows you to, as they state, “Put the internet to work for you”. Ifttt takes advantage of API’s from some of your favorite web services like Facebook, Twitter, Evernote, Tumblr, and a host of others. When you link your accounts, you can create automated actions that will take place whenever certain triggers occur.
For instance, I use Ifttt to save my starred tweets to Instapaper, send my tagged Facebook photos to Dropbox, text me anytime the forecast changes to “Rain”, and a lot more. I want to emphasize the fact that all of these actions are automatic after you set them up through Ifttt. When you start using the service, you will instantly see how useful and effective the service becomes.
I got an early invite to this service awhile ago, so I’m not sure if it’s still in “invite-mode” but if you need an invite, I have 5 left!
Simple & Powerful
I needed a new homepage and decided to dive into a more dynamic experience. Impressed with the site for iPhone app Nizo, I set out to create something similar.
In deciding how to procede, I tried to distill what it is that I’m passionate about. For me, it’s always been products and applications that have this unique combination of power and simplicity. It’s my passion to produce products that have these two fundamental forces present throughout all facets of the product.
